DUA
This word ‘dua’ could be roughly translated to mean supplication or invocation. It is conversatin between you and Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) our Creator, our Lord, the All Knowing, and the All Powerful.
we can ask Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) what ever we want except that is doesn't given permission in islam

Comprehensive Du'as
Rasulullah(solellahu alihi wassalam) taught the following du'a to 'Imran bin Husain's(razi) father, saying: "I will teach you two such phrases which will benefit you {in this world as wellas the hereafter}." Trimidhi, vob2, p.861
The entire Shari'ah is condensed in these phrases making it a very comprehensive du'a
Alla humma alhimnee rushdee waaizne min sharre nafse
0 Allah(subhana hu watala) Inspire me with guidance and righteousness and protect me from the evil of my nafs. (carnal self)
"Once Rasulullah (solellahu alihi wasallam)
Allahumma innee Asaluka fealal-kirati watarkal munkarrati wahubbal masaakene wa antagfirlee watarhamnee wa ezaa aradtan fitnatan fee qawme fatuwaffe ni gira maftoonin
OAllah! I ask of You the ability to do good, to shun evil, to love the poor and that You forgive me, have mercy on me and when You intend to put any nation to test, grant me death without testing me.

Qaumah and Jalsah
It is Waajib to remain in Qaumah (the standing posture after Ruku before going into Sajda) and Jalsah (the sitting posture between the two Sajdas) for the duration of one Tasbeeh. (Durrul Makhtaar V.1, P433) It is reported by Bara & that the Ruku, Sajdah, Qaumah and Jalsah of Rasulullah (solellaahu alihe wasalllam) were all of approximately the same duration. (Bukhari V.1, P110)
Duas to be Recited in Qaumah
Rabbanaa Lakal hamd.Hamdan kaseeran Taibam mubarakan feehe
(Our Sustalner, for You is all praise in abundance,excellent and blessed.) (Bukhari V.1, P1 10)
Dua to be Recited in Jalsah
Allahum magfirle warhamne waafeni wahdene warzukni
(0 Allah forgive me, how mercy on me, grant me peace, guide me and grant me sustenance.) (Abu Dawood V.1, P123) These duas should be recited in the Fardh Salaah. It is masnoon (Sunnah) to recite these duas in the Sunnah and Nafl Salaah also. (Tirmizi V.2, P180)
